Sirri Island

Sirri island (also known as Siri Island) is situated 76 kilometers (47 mi) from Bandar-e Lengeh and 50 kilometers (31 mi) west of Abu Musa island. The island is almost 5.6 kilometers (3.5 mi) long with a width of about 3 kilometers (1.9 mi). It covers an area of 17.33 square kilometers (6.7 square miles). The highest point on the island is 33 meters (108 feet) above sea level. Like the other islands in the Persian Gulf, it enjoys a warm and humid climate. Bandar Imam Khomeini (BIK)

Position: Long 49-04’ E / Lat 30-25’ N Admiralty chart: 1269 Distance from Tehran: 927 Km The port is well-connected to Tehran and other cities in the country via road, air, and rail. Pilotage is mandatory and is overseen by BIK port authorities, starting from Khor Musa pilot station to the Inner Anchorage by canal pilot, and then by the berthing master to the Jetty. The reverse procedure is followed during unberthing/sailing. Maximum Draft: 13 meters Accommodation: The port is a landlocked stream where operations can be conducted year-round, 24 hours a day. Quays and berthing facilities: The waterside platform stretch 7,000 meters and can accommodate a total of 37 merchant vessels. There are no restrictions on LOA and beam for ocean-going ships.
