Parsian Port is located in Hormozgan province in Iran. It is a major port that handles various types of cargo, including containers, bulk, and general cargo. (SALCO) are first transported by ship to Parsian wharf facilities covering an area of 8.2 hectares in Parsian Energy Intensive Special Economic Zone. Alumina powder, coke, bitumen and other raw materials are unloaded from ships to be stored in massive silos especially designed for this purpose, by means of handling equipment such as multiple conveyor belts and pneumatic conveying system. These materials are then transported by truck to South Aluminum Co. (SALCO), 90 km from Parsian City.
